Yes, the HeyGears G1 Series can be shipped to most countries. If shipping is restricted or incurs additional fees due to remote addresses, our customer service team will contact you for address updates and additional fees, or to arrange a cancellation and refund. Customs fees are covered by HeyGears for all regions listed below:US, CA, AU, EU, UK, JP, KR, SG, NZ, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao. For EU and UK backers, VAT is also covered. For regions not listed, customs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

The G1 Series main unit alone weighs about 45kg (99 lbs), and every pack also includes ink so you can start printing right out of the box. Combined, this makes shipping costs naturally higher than typical desktop devices. That said, HeyGears covers the majority of these costs, so backers only pay a portion of the actual shipping fees.Shipping fees vary by region:

We provide a 1-year warranty on the G1 Series main unit, beginning on the date of delivery. Our F1080 and i3200 printheads are consumable components by nature, but we stand behind their durability with a dedicated 180-day warranty.

Yes. If you start with the G1 Starter Pack or G1X Starter Pack, you can upgrade to add full-color 3D printing at any time:

• G1X Starter Pack can be upgraded by adding the Resin Station, Relay Fluid Hub, and 3D Resin Kit.
• G1 Starter Pack requires an additional printhead upgrade (to the G1X i3200 printhead) along with the Resin Station, Relay Fluid Hub, 3D Resin Kit, and Lc+Lm UV ink.

If you choose the G1X Full-3D Pack, full-color 3D printing is already included, so no upgrade is needed.

Full-color 3D printing means building the model structure and applying color at the same time, so the model comes out with complete color details and requires no manual painting.

The G1X uses precision piezo inkjet technology and UV curing to deposit and instantly cure full-color inks layer by layer. Powered by HeyGears- developed color science technology and innovative rollerless design, it accurately creates 3D objects while reproducing realistic colors, smooth gradients, and fine details — delivering print-ready results straight out of the machine.

No special solution is required. The water-soluble supports can be dissolved in clean water. Dissolving time depends on the model size, support volume, and whether a cleaning device is used.

As a reference, a typical 5 cm figurine takes approximately 3–4 hours to dissolve when using a cleaning machine with clean water, or about 8 hours through natural soaking in clean water. Larger models or models with more support material may require additional time.

The 3X UV printing speed boost is based on internal testing against desktop UV printers equipped with a single F1080 printhead.

The improvement comes from both printhead and ink system optimizations. The G1X is built on a three-in-one platform that integrates full-color 3D printing, 3D texture printing, and 2D UV printing, enabling more efficient and versatile printing workflows. Future updates are planned to support flexible channel configurations, such as CMYK+WWW+V or CMYK+WWWW, allowing users to optimize the printer for different production needs.

In addition, the G1X uses a higher-viscosity ink system with stronger white ink coverage. Compared with lower-viscosity inks that may require multiple white ink layers to achieve the desired opacity, the G1X can often achieve similar coverage with fewer layers, reducing printing passes and improving overall productivity.Together, these enhancements help users complete personalized products, small-batch orders, and daily projects more efficiently.

UV ink is designed for printing directly onto hard surfaces and film such as wood, acrylic, metal, ceramic, and phone cases. It cures instantly under UV light to produce durable, vibrant results. Aqueous ink is a water-based formulation used for True DTF printing — the ink is first printed onto a transfer film, then heat-transferred onto fabric and apparel to produce soft, breathable, and wash-resistant results. If you plan to print on clothing or soft materials, you'll need Aqueous ink. For all other surfaces, UV ink is the right choice.

The G1 Series does not disable the use of third-party inks at either the hardware or software level. We recommend using official HeyGears inks for the best print quality. Our official print profiles are optimized to deliver superior results, while also ensuring full machine warranty and after-sales support.

G1 Series reduces the risk of printhead clogging through multiple mechanisms, including optimized ink properties, white ink agitation, automatic printhead cleaning, and software-guided maintenance.

The ink system is designed to promote stable ink flow and consistent jetting performance. The white ink tank features an automatic agitation system that helps prevent pigment settling and particle formation, reducing the risk of clogging caused by sedimentation.

During both printing and standby, the printer performs scheduled automatic printhead cleaning cycles to help flush away partially cured ink before it can accumulate. Blueprint Studio also provides maintenance guidance and reminders, while manual cleaning options are available when needed to support long-term printhead performance.
